Compare Decking Collections

How to Compare Decking Collections Correctly

Decking collections differ in more than colour and price. Profile construction, material composition, surface finish, fastening system, permitted joist spacing and intended application should all be considered.

Profile Construction

Solid profiles are generally intended for higher loads but usually have greater weight and cost. Hollow profiles are lighter and can be a practical option for residential use. The decision should be based on the technical specifications of each collection.

Surface and Design

Boards may have grooved, brushed, matt or wood-effect surfaces. Deep embossing creates a distinctive appearance but may require more careful cleaning. Reversible profiles provide two possible surface designs.

Installation System

Many collections use concealed clips, while some require special grooves or proprietary fasteners. Components from different manufacturers are not always compatible, so the terrace should be planned as one complete system.

Decking Comparison Criteria

  • Solid or hollow profile construction
  • Board dimensions and thickness
  • Surface texture and colour stability
  • Permitted joist spacing
  • Fastening system and component availability
  • Warranty and installation requirements
  • Total installed terrace cost

Compare Complete Systems, Not Only Boards

The least expensive board does not always produce the lowest total project cost. Joists, clips, finishing profiles, supports, waste and installation complexity must also be included. Floors.in.ua can compare collections using consistent criteria and prepare an accurate system calculation.
