Professional Flooring Installation in Ukraine

Professional flooring installation

The performance of a floor depends not only on the selected material but also on proper subfloor preparation and correct installation. Even a premium floor can become unstable, noisy or deformed when moisture levels, screed condition and manufacturer requirements are ignored.

Floors.In.Ua provides professional installation of parquet, engineered and solid wood flooring, laminate, SPC vinyl and other floor coverings. We can manage the complete process, from inspecting the property and preparing the subfloor to installing skirting boards and completing the finished floor.

What professional installation includes

  • inspection and measurement of the rooms;
  • assessment of subfloor level, strength and moisture;
  • selection of the correct installation method;
  • calculation of flooring, adhesive and accessories;
  • subfloor preparation and levelling;
  • installation of the selected flooring;
  • installation of skirting boards, profiles and finishing elements;
  • final quality inspection.

Subfloor inspection and preparation

Before installation, the technician checks room geometry, variations in level, surface strength and residual moisture in the screed. Temperature and relative air humidity must also be assessed when natural wood flooring is being installed.

The inspection determines whether the surface requires grinding, crack repair, priming, local correction or a self-levelling compound. A weak, damp or uneven subfloor should never simply be covered with new flooring—the underlying problem must first be corrected.

Why the condition of the subfloor matters

  • uneven areas place excessive pressure on laminate and SPC joints;
  • excessive moisture can deform natural wood;
  • a weak screed reduces the reliability of adhesive installation;
  • dust and contamination reduce primer and adhesive performance;
  • untreated cracks may eventually affect the finished floor.

Parquet and engineered wood installation

Wood flooring responds naturally to changing temperature and humidity and therefore requires professional handling. Before installation, the material is inspected, stored under suitable conditions and planned according to the geometry of the room.

Engineered, parquet and solid wood boards can be laid in a straight pattern, diagonally, in herringbone or according to a custom design. Professional projects commonly use a glue-down system because it improves stability, reduces footfall noise and securely connects the flooring to the subfloor.

Important aspects of wood-floor installation

  • measurement of screed and wood moisture levels;
  • use of a professional elastic flooring adhesive;
  • correct expansion and perimeter gaps;
  • plank alignment according to lighting and room geometry;
  • accurate finishing around doors, stairs and adjacent flooring;
  • protection of the completed surface during further building work.

Laminate and SPC vinyl installation

Click-lock laminate and SPC are generally installed as floating floors over an underlay. The subfloor must be level, dry and stable. Even small local irregularities can cause movement, noise or damage to the click joints.

Glue-down vinyl is bonded directly to a carefully prepared surface. The resulting system has a low overall thickness, remains stable under load and transfers heat efficiently from an underfloor heating system.

Requirements for click-lock flooring

  • a level subfloor within the manufacturer’s permitted tolerances;
  • an underlay suitable for the selected flooring;
  • expansion gaps around walls and fixed structures;
  • separation of large areas according to product requirements;
  • no rigid fixing of the floating floor beneath permanent furniture or partitions.

Installation over underfloor heating

The selected flooring, adhesive and underlay must all be compatible with the heating system. Important parameters include the total thermal resistance of the floor construction, maximum permitted surface temperature and uniformity of heating.

Before installation, the heating system should complete the testing and commissioning cycle required by its technical specification. After installation, the operating temperature must be increased gradually. Sudden temperature changes are particularly harmful to natural wood.

A complete compatible installation system

We select the primer, adhesive, underlay and other components as one compatible system. This improves floor stability, supports efficient heat transfer and helps preserve the manufacturer’s warranty requirements.

What determines the installation cost

An accurate quotation can be prepared after inspecting the property or receiving complete technical information. The price depends on the flooring type, subfloor condition, installation pattern, room area, number of cuts and corners, removal requirements and the complexity of transitions.

Information required for an estimate

  • a floor plan and total installation area;
  • photographs or video of the existing floor;
  • information about the screed and heating system;
  • the name of the selected flooring;
  • the preferred installation direction or pattern;
  • the property location and expected project dates.
